Cattle insurance covers death/ injury to cattles due to intentional or unintentional causes like fire, explosion , lightning , cyclone , tornado etc) or due to disease , can be due to surgery. Mostly cattle insurance covers risk for native, exotic or cross-breed some which comes under the category are:

  • Milch Cows and Buffaloes
  • Calves / Heifers
  • Stud Bulls
  • Bullocks (Castrated Bulls) and Castrated Male Buffaloes.
The Policy can also be extended to cover PTD on payment of extra premium;

  1. Permanent Total Disability which, in the case of Milch Cattle result in permanent and total incapacity to conceive or yield milk.
  2. PTD which in the case of Stud Bulls results in permanent and total incapacity for breeding purpose.
  3. In case of Bullocks, Calves / Heifers and Castrated male buffaloes results in permanent and total incapacity for the purpose of use mentioned in the proposal form.

How to claim for Cattle Insurance?

Inform the Insurer and submit documents required for process as suggested by insurance company you choosed.

Incase of death documents required:

  • Submit correctly filled claim form with below documents.
  • Death certificate from veterinarian on insurance company’s form.
  • Post-mortem report if asked to show by insurance company.
  • Ear-Tag of the animal must be given back. If Tag isn’t provided to the insurance company. Your claim will not be considered for the same.

Policy can be extended to cover PTD(Permanent Total Disability) if policy includes extra premium benefit , which came with extra payment.
